The Eco Paradise of New Zealand

Naumai, haere mai ki West coast of the North Island of Aotearoa. This is a land steeped in rich Maori history and a horse riding paradise off the beaten tourist track in NZ.

This historical land is the final resting place of the great Tainui and Aotea waka's...The famous migratory canoe's.

These isolated settlements of Kawhia, Taharoa, Marokopa, Aotea and Raglan, are located on the rugged coastal regions of Waikato and King Country.

This is awesome pony and horse riding country at its best, traversing miles upon miles of isolated ocean beaches and ancient Maori warrior trails that take riders across stunningly scenic, coastal, forestry and farm trails.

Whats On Offer

Quality fit ponies and horses: All horses and ponies are selected for their all round suitability for kids and parents, whether experienced or a total learner. Our ponies are specifically chosen for there calm natures, temperaments and athletic abilities.

Horse riding trails: Great variety of scenic ocean beach, forestry, sand dunes and farmland trails.

The guides are experienced and friendly and their priority is providing high quality rides, be they beginners or experienced.

Many of our rides are accompanied by members of the Kawhia Kids Pony and Horse Riding Club who love to help out in anyway they can.

All money earned from these treks go towards helping set up an Outward Bounds Centre here in Kawhia and Aotea for disadvantaged kids from all over New Zealand.

And don't forget your camera. There are many memorable experiences along the way.

Suitable clothing is a must. Pack loose trousers, a good raincoat for the unexpected, any personals and a great sense of humour also on the longer rides.
